the first pic

Welcome to my Blog.  I hope to post some useful information for you, so if you decide to take on a project like this, it could be useful.  There are many ways you can go with a project like this. One is to pay someone and pick it up when its done. The other way is to do it yourself and create memories you can talk about with your buddies. Of course, if you don’t have the time, place, tools or experience the first choice is the one you want to take.

Since my teens I have been messing with cars always doing something to someone car or truck. During my High School days I took all fun classes, like Auto Shop or Metal Shop to learn these stills. Not sure how many schools still offer programs like those, but they were a big influence on me and helped me greatly over the years.

So I will be updating when possible as often as possible. I hope to add more text to the pics on how things that were done and add things of interest like places to buy stuff that worked good for me. There are a lot of new materials on the market to do bodywork these days and I don’t claim to be an expert but I will show what I like and use that got the job done for me.

I’ve had some help on this project from a long time friend and you might see his picture in some of the photos. All my work is done in my garage, I’ve added tools I needed a long the way. Looking for deals online or at the swaps. I’m lucky to live in So Cal so Pomona and Long Beach swaps are a great places to get some good deals. The vendor TCP Global sells at both and its cheaper to get stuff at the swap vs. online.

For the work done already i might have spent about $3000.00, I’m talking primers, tools, truck part upgrades, etc. I still need to spend about $1000 or so to finish up the job. The one thing I have done to help keep costs down is selling off things I don’t want anymore. I’m a pack rat on some parts (like most) and it’s time to let go. At the end of the day, I have no one to blame but myself, most of the time its been fun and a rewarding experience. As we get older our body feels the pain of a night or weekend of working on something and I’ve learned some of the good creams that help fight the pains of age.

So hit the Follow button on the side bar for updates to my site and let’s do this.

I’m also a member of So Cal Pickups Limited the Orange County Chapter and the Chairman of the F100 Western Nationals. I’ve had some awesome times with my club members and made a lot of friends around the world. I have a YouTube site that I will be updating with some videos, from time to time.

Cheers

Ed
